• Safety Patrol - 5th and 6th grade students participate in training for safety patrol.  These students are then scheduled to ensure the safety of our elementary students before and after school Safety Patrol is run in partnership with our local police force.  Each year four students are sent to Legionville Safety Patrol Camp focusing on safety and leadership.

• Memory Book - 7th and 8th graders are invited to help put together a PreK-8 Memory Book.  Students are responsible for the layout of pages.

• Student Council - 5th -8th graders are involved in our Student Council. Some of the activities of the Student Council are Mix it Up day, where tolerance is highlighted, and 7th and 8th grad

• MathCounts - 7th and 8th grade students participate in a math coaching and competition program that promotes student interest in math.  Interscholastic competitions are held after school and NUACS  host a 3M sponsored school day competition.  The top eight students compete in a regional competition.  Goals are to learn new math skills and to have fun!

• Drama - 5th - 8th graders are encouraged to audition for an annual production.  Some years tMarch 5, 2008 7:32 AMese productions are performed for the school and the general public in the HTMS auditorium.
